BrainfireTerms of Use
These terms explain how Brainfire and its subscriptions work. Please read them before using the app.
Brainfire is provided by TrueGainLLC (“we,” “us”). Your use of the iOS app is also subject to Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms describe Brainfire-specific features and billing. If these terms conflict with rights you have under applicable law or the Apple agreement, those rights are not reduced.
What Brainfire does
Brainfire is a personal thought inbox. It helps you capture thoughts, choose a small set to focus on, and revisit other thoughts later. It is an organizational tool, not medical or mental health treatment, emergency support, or a guarantee that a reminder will arrive at a particular time. Keep separate records or alerts for time-critical matters.
Subscriptions and payment
Brainfire may offer monthly and annual auto-renewing subscriptions. The app displays the available plans, localized price, and billing period before you choose one. Apple shows the final purchase terms, including any eligible introductory offer, for your confirmation. Charges are handled by your Apple Account. We do not collect your payment card information.
A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it under Apple’s purchase terms. You can manage or cancel it in iPhone Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions or from Brainfire Settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Refund requests for App Store purchases are handled by Apple.
If you have already purchased access with the same Apple Account, use Restore purchases in the app. Access depends on the active subscription entitlement reported by our billing provider. Product availability, prices, trials, and taxes can vary by region and by eligibility.
Your content and privacy
You keep ownership of the thoughts you enter. Brainfire stores thought text on your device and may back it up to your iCloud account when available. You are responsible for your device and Apple Account access and for maintaining any backup you need. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Appropriate use
Use Brainfire lawfully and do not try to interfere with the app, its billing systems, or other users’ access. The app is provided for personal use under the Apple license linked above. Features may change as we improve or maintain the service.
Availability and liability
Device settings, Apple services, network availability, and software updates can affect backups, notifications, purchases, and restores. We work to keep Brainfire useful, but cannot promise uninterrupted operation. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for indirect losses caused by missed reminders or unavailable features. Nothing here limits rights that cannot legally be limited.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the app changes. We will change the effective date above when we publish an update, and provide additional notice for material changes where appropriate. Questions can be sent to brainfireapp@gmail.com.
